You've got to have FAITH!

This has been an extremely stressful semester. I do not understand why all of these problems are happening to me. All of these tickets, car issues, stressful classes, and family problems have been pretty unpleasant. I don't know what to do anymore. Things just keep getting worse and worse. Most of the time I am tired and never seem to have enough energy to do anything anymore. With work, school, and now trying to find a new car I have no time to relax. All of these problems in my life are building up and im really starting to feel the pressure:(  Not having a car has been extremely hard on not only myself but my family members. They take me to work and school everyday. I need to get things back to normal, I just hope I will be able to very soon. Until then I will continue to pray to God, be hopeful, and have FAITH.

Love is ....

Love is an amazing feeling. It is when you enjoy being around someone special :) When a boy laughs and makes you smile, and the way he talks to you gives you butterflies. When you are talking to him and he is the only person that you see in the room, and when he is looking deep into your eyes and captivating you inside.
Love is thinking about him 24/7 and knowing that he will always be there for you. Love is trusting him enough to tell him everything about urself including the things that you might be ashamed of .... Love is feeling comfortable and safe with him at all times. Love should always be cherished and never taken for granted. When just about everything about him makes you happy, you know your in LOVE.

It's a BOY!!!

Jonah Gil 10 lbs 6 ounce October 20th, 2011

10 lbs 6 ounce.. Baby Jonah is officially here ❤ I was SOOO HAPPY for my friend Vanessa Aguirre when I found out that she finally gave birth to her son! I went straight to the hospital to visit her the next day and surprised her with a baby blue balloon stating "It's a Boy!" :) I couldn't believe how much the baby weighed! Jonah is a big boy! Pregnancy is a huge responsibility and I know that her labor was hard to deal with. However she is starting to recover and feel a lot better now after her 25 hour labor! What a trooper!! I knew that she was going to be able to get through this process with the support of her friends, family, and wonderful boyfriend. I am very proud of her. Vanessa and I have practically grown up together and we have known each other for about six years now. We first met during our freshman year in high school. What I love most about her is that she has always been a fun and outgoing individual! She is a friend for a lifetime and I wish her pure luck and happiness on her journey towards becoming a mother. WELCOME BABY JONAH :)

Alanis Morissette

Her music is amazing and continues to captivate my soul. She has always been true to her music, fans, and most importantly herself. What I like most about Alanis is that she is very artistic and expresses her emotions through music. She is an incredibly talented songwriter who seems to blend love, hate, regret, and sorrow into her lyrics. Each one of her songs tells a story or teaches a lesson in life. Her lyrics are remarkable because they sound like pure poetry. Every time I feel down or don't know what to do with myself I just listen to her music and realize that things are not perfect and that " You Live you Learn." Many people seem to enjoy her music because they are able to relate to her clever lyrics and imagination. I truly admire Alanis and her creative work.

- I will share with you some of my all time favorite songs from Alanis Morissette. XO!

I LOVE the 80's!!!

The 80's was a remarkable decade full of  breakdancing, pacman, MTV, ruffles, rubik's cubes, boom boxes, and neon lights! What do you watch on TV?!

So mondays are usually the day that everyone dreads because that means back to school, work, and your basic daily routine. However, I have grown to love mondays because my monday nights are usually filled with watching my favorite television programs. I enjoy watching Dancing with the Stars and looking at all of the beautiful costumes each week. The judges, live band, guest appearances, and audience create an amazing vibe in the ballroom which makes everybody apart of the dancing experience. Dancing with the Stars is starting to really heat up because we are now towards the middle of the competition! The professional dancers are going to work their partners to their full potential and give it everything they got this week. You never know who is going to go home during elimination, there have already been a few suprises this season! So make sure to tune into Dancing with the Stars and it's result show on Monday at 8pm and Tuesday at 9pm on ABC 7.

FINALLLLLY.

Some GREAT news has come my way! For weeks now I have been waiting to hear a response from the Boys and Girls Club of Whittier. I applied to become a volunteer because I love children and would love to be a role model in their lives. While I was growing up I went to daycare and it was a great experience because it gave me the chance to interact with other children, learn valuable lessons, and have guidance. If I am chosen to become a volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club of Whittier I will make sure to be a positive leader, direct the children towards the right path, help them with their homework, and give them the best advice. My interview is this friday and I am really excited because I love children! If I am given the chance to volunteer and promote Respect, Tolerance, and Courage in these children's lives it would be an amazing experience. I am willing to speak as well as mentor the youth and advocate that "anything is possible if you believe!"

This Week ...

Regardless of how stressful and terrible this week has been, i'm just thankful that i'm alright and still alive today. Thank you for watching over me God and please help me get through these battles day by day. Whether it's dealing with school, my car, work, or even my friends and family. I just want to let you know that I am growing up and learning from my mistakes. A 20 year old girl can only handle so much ...:( Even though I feel really sad right now I'm going to try to look past all of these problems in my life and just get through them. I know my parents will always be there for me and I really appreciate them.

Fox 11 Good Day LA!

During the summer I completed my first college internship at Fox 11 Good Day LA. This was one of the most memorable experiences of my life because not only was I able to intern with an outstanding news team, but I was given the opportunity of a  lifetime. This internship affected me in several different ways. It gave me the chance to grow, observe, view the studio, shadow the anchors, and to learn how the news is prepared each and everyday. I was pleased to work with Steve Edwards, Dorothy Lucey, Jillian Barberie Reynolds, and all the producers at Fox 11. While growing up I would watch channel 7 Eyewitness News with Michelle Tuzee and Marc Brown everyday at 4pm with my mother. This became an everyday habit and that is when I discovered at the young age of 11 that  I fell in love with not only the news, but reporting, and the idea of becoming a news anchor.
